Year 1980
On 1st, September, SWA was granted the Gold Medal and Certificate for “Swallow” brand high surface aluminum by the State Economic Commission.
The LC4 alloy forging for aircraft made by SWA won the 3rd Prize of the State, and the “Swallow” brand high surface aluminum was included into “Beadroll of Quality Products That Won the National Prize” in same year.

Year 1981
In February, The alloy forgings for aircraft passed through the appraisal of the Ministry of Metallurgy, and won the 3rd Prize for Science Technology Outcome.
In the same year, the LT66 aluminum plate was assessed as the quality product with award of silver medal by the State Economic Commission. The corrugated plate was commented as the quality product by the Ministry of Metallurgy. The LY12ME deep drawing plate was commented as the quality product of Sichuan province.

Year 1982
In November, the “White Cloud” brand Al alloy springboard plate and formed plate have won the title of Quality Product from the Ministry of Metallurgy and Sichuan province.

Year 1983
In September, the “White Cloud” brand Ly12ME plate won the prize of National Silver Medal. The “White Cloud” brand haricot-shape tread plate, pure aluminum wide plate, profile for solar energy and Al alloy window & door profile have won the title of Quality Product from the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Corporation.
In November, the LF21M plate for washing machine, 6063 alloy profile for ceiling, and LF3y plate have won the title of Quality Product from Sichuan province.

Year 1984
In this year, the “Swallow” brand tread plate won the prize of National Silver Medal; the Al alloy plates for aerospace, washing machine, fan vane won the prize of Quality Product from the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Corporation (CNNC).

Year 1985
In this year, the “White Cloud” brand alloy plate for washing machine, the “Swallow” brand high surface aluminum have separately won the prize of National Gold Medal and certificate; The Al alloy plate, LY12ME plate, LD2 springboard plate, alloy forgings, alloy integer thread-tray for textile industry have awarded the prize of Quality Product from the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Corporation.

Year 1986
On 24th, June, the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Corporation organized a selective examination to the corporation level quality products, the LT66 alloy plate, high surface pure Al plate, LD31（6063）alloy rod,alkali aluminum chloride etc were all eligible.
On 20th, September, the “White Cloud” brand alloy textile thread-tray and corrugated plate as well as “Yuhuan” brand alkali aluminum chloride made by SWA were assessed as the 1986 Quality Product of Chongqing.
On 15th, October, 3 projects of SWA won the prize of Science Technology Progress from the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Corporation, among them which the integer casting process of large statues of “Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter” located in both bridgehead of Chongqing Yangtze Bridge obtained the 2nd prize; the Al-alloy round ingot multi-mould casting process obtained the 3rd prize; the EL-Z305 alloy textile thread-tray process obtained the 3rd prize.
From this year, Southwest Aluminum commenced to produce precise aviation die forgings for Boeing Company, U.S.A.
