History

1965, Constructions of SWA started.

October 1979, The China’s first batch of exported aluminum plates made by SWA was on sale in Hong Kong.

1980, annual output 22,500 tons, sales income up to 100 millions RMB Yuan

1985, output and production value doubled than that of in 1980

1987, Acquired the license for manufacturing precise aviation die forgings and forging stock granted by Boeing Company, U.S.A

1989, annual output 50,000 tons

1990, Started to carry out a large-scale modernization and expansion

1992, Super-thin sheet line was put into production, filled the vacancy of producing super-thin aluminum sheets and strips with high accuracy and high performance in China, symbolized that the development of China’s nonferrous metal material industry had stepped into a new era.

1993, the first super large-sized enterprise qualified both from international and domestic approvals of ISO 9002 Quality Certification System among the domestic enterprises.

1996, conferred the title of “comprehensive aluminum fabrication enterprise with largest scale and most advanced equipment in China” by the Development Research Center of State Council

1997, on Nov 27th, the large special aluminum alloy profiles developed by SWA for aviation reached the world advanced technical level passed the assessment by the experts team of China National Non-Ferrous Metal Industry Corporation

1998, on Feb 23rd, SWA connected to the global Internet web. On April 27th, the Forging Plant of SWA successfully developed the first batch of large aluminum alloy profiles for metro and high speed train vehicles

1999, on Sep 1st, SWA hold a ceremony for start working of special profiles project. In the same year, the inequilateral abnormal aluminum alloy rings with max diameter of 2114mm, thinnest thickness of 145mm and color coated sheet, which these two items were developed and produced by SWA, have been selected into the “New Records of Chinese Enterprise”

2000, Make a breakthrough of output over 100,000 tons, reached an annual output of 116,000 tons with sales income of 2.1 billion RMB Yuan, the company accomplished historical leap over. On Dec 18th, Southwest Aluminum (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded while an initial modern enterprise system was set up.

2001, on Nov 22nd, SWA Special Profiles Co., Ltd produced the first batch of large aluminum alloy profile for vehicle
